They WON the game, and they weren't even supposed to be there, according to all the "experts." I'm certain they were probably double-digit underdogs. OU in the National Champinship.OU wins in a close game.ĭid I say anything about Boise "establishing dominance?" My prediction today - one loss teams LSU v. Hope my cynical instincts are wrong, but history tells me I might be right. Nice to see a USF come out of nowhere.but when a team in the recruiting climate of Florida emerge from dust and be that good raises red flags in my mind as to how they're recruiting. But with their typically slow starts I'm picking a loss at probably Oregon and Cal(hope I'm wrong).Īn ASU-USF NC game would be wild.but I'm not predicting that. IF they win their remaining games they deserve the shot. The Sun Devils (my alma mater) face some very tough challenges in the next few weeks - Oregon on the road, Cal, & USC. It may cost them the NC as a result and deservedly so if that ends up being the case. Clearly they were looking ahead to Texas. They can't be knocked out of the equation. Sooners still have to play a couple of tough games and then a conference championship. The SEC is clearly the strongest most dominant conference across the board but that's having an effect of being self-cancelling as we're seeing now and probably right through to their conference playoff. I'm hoping someone will rise up and knock OSU out but they'll likely go to the NC and get whipped by your choice of about 6 better teams. I'll give props to the Big 11 from past seasons.this year they're just not very good. That said, there's no comparison to the Big 10(11) that is woefully slow, flacid, and non-competitive compared to the past and compared to virtually every other conference this season. The Big 12 is not a strong as they have been historically.
